LEARN TO SKYDIVE
To become a skydiver, you must complete an AFF Course
(Accelerated Free Fall Course)
You must be at least 18 years of age, or 16 years with notarized parental consent.
Be less than 240 lbs./109 kg. NO exceptions.
An advance deposit of € 495 for your course. This is non-refundable.
Ground school is approximately 4-8 hours long.
The course has to be booked in advance either by email at
email@example.com or by phone at +386 (0)41 888 707
The deposit of € 495 must be paid at least a week in advance via bank transfer.
THIS DEPOSIT IS NON-REFUNDABLE
The AFF course is constructed as follows:
Each level has objectives that must be completed to move onto the next level. If these are not met then the level has to be repeated. Repeats are done at the instructor’s discretion. ONCE THE FIRST JUMP IS MADE, THE NEXT ONE HAS TO BE DONE WITHIN 30 DAYS OF THE LAST JUMP (OR THE GROUND SCHOOL WILL HAVE TO BE RETAKEN AND THE LAST PASSED AFF LEVEL REPEATED).
is a low altitude exit jump.
We offer the AFF 8 jump package; this is 1699 EUR for the ground school and 8 jumps. The remaining balance for the course has to be paid upon arrival. Any repeat jumps will be at an additional cost.
Alternatively, after the ground school and first jump (Level 1), which is covered by the initial deposit of 495 EUR, each jump can be paid for before it is done. This can all be done at the drop zone manifest:
Level 1 - 3 with 2 instructors 290 EUR
Level 4 - 7 with 1 instructor 190 EUR
Repeat jumps during the course:
Level 1 - 3 with 2 instructors 220 EUR
Level 4 - 7 with 1 instructor 160 EUR
All jump tickets, equipment and packing tickets are included in the AFF jump price.
License requirements are intended to encourage the development of the knowledge and skills that should be acquired by each skydiver as experience is gained.
After the AFF course is completed, the student is then cleared to jump ‘self supervised’ by an instructor. Although still a student at this point, jumps can be made without an instructor, but not with other skydivers yet. You will be able to jump with others on completion of your A-License.
A license requirements are as follows:
10 consolidation jumps (solo jumps supervised in the aircraft)
6 further jumps (at least 5 are with a coach or an instructor that teaches the skills that are needed to fly safely with other people. These will also include essential canopy skills.)
Packing course (This teaches a student how to pack a parachute. After the course, the packer supervises packing of a parachute, which is then jumped by the student.)
A minimum of 25 jumps (this total includes AFF jumps, coach jumps, low altitude jumps and any solo jumps that are made. It does take some people more than 25 jumps to complete their A-license.)
After the AFF course there will be different costs involved. A ‘jump ticket’ has to be purchased, which is the type of jump being done (solo, coach, low altitude). Gear rental is paid for separately (rig, helmet, goggles, altimeter, suit). For each time a jump is made, the parachute will need to be repacked by one of our packers (a ‘packing ticket’ must be purchased for this).
USPA membership is an additional cost payable directly to USPA.
